The Fabrisonic SonicLayer 4000 is an industrial system for additive manufacturing using ultrasonic additive manufacturing (UAM). Layers of consumable material are bonded under pressure from ultrasonic vibrations without the need for direct thermal input, allowing for the creation of laminates from various materials. Further processing is done by milling. The system is designed to work with aluminum, titanium, steel, and copper.
