Description of the 3D printer "S-Max"

ExOne S-Max - an industrial installation for 3D printing (3DP) of sand casting molds. The forms are created by selectively applying drops of binding material to thin layers of sand. The finished products can be immediately used for pouring. The size of the working area is 1800x1000x700mm. The thickness of the applied layer is approximately 280μm. The installation is equipped with an Ethernet interface for connection to a local network.

About the "S-Max" printer The principle of operation of high-speed 3D printing installations consists of selectively applying microdrops of binder to the surface of a thin layer of specially prepared sand mix in accordance with the layer configuration. The sequential formation of layers allows forms and cores to be made directly from CAD data, eliminating the need for tooling. The high speed of manufacturing precise, identical forms and cores significantly reduces production time. The technology allows for quick correction of casting design, feeder system and foundry sand molds, reducing allowances, reducing the weight of castings, and improving their quality. S-Max is designed for use in design bureaus and foundries. The ability to obtain a ready-to-pour mold within a few hours significantly reduces production preparation times.
