Description of the "Prusa i3 Hephestos" 3D printer
The Prusa i3 Hephestos is a new product from bq company. This DIY (Do It Yourself) 3D printer is based on the RepRap Prusa Mendel. The printer uses the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology. It primarily uses eco-friendly, biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) as its main printing material, but it can also print with ABS if the optional heated platform is installed. The maximum build area size is 215x210x180 mm. The layer thickness can be adjusted within the range of 50 micrometers. The presence of a memory card reader allows for standalone printing.
