Description of the 3D printer "Formlabs Fuse 1+"

The Formlabs Fuse 1+ is a new version of the desktop additive system Fuse 1 using the selective laser sintering (SLS) technology. The main difference between the Fuse 1+ and the original lies in the replacement of the 10-watt ytterbium fiber emitter with a 30-watt emitter to increase performance and compatibility with various types of polymer materials. The scanning speed of the galvanometric scanner has been increased to 12.5 m/s. Additionally, the option of nitrogen pumping has been added, which contributes to increasing reusability efficiency: for example, after 3D printing without protective gas, the residual nylon-11 in pure or carbon-filled form can be reused by mixing it with fresh powder in equal proportions, and with nitrogen pumping, the required share of fresh material is reduced to 30%.
